We already know that the Halo saga has begun its hexalogy with the Reclaimer Trilogy. 343 studios confirmed the trilogy some time ago that the series would enjoy a decade of more Master Chief. However, TheKohlrabi’s intern found a Halo 7 leak on Amazon while searching for a light up yo-yo. We were able to grab a screenshot before Amazon pulled the listing from their store. This prompted us to dig a bit deeper into the story.
We reached out to Amazon about the listing on their site. While talking on the phone their reply was “We can and at times will make mistakes with our listings. Currently, we are under an embargo for the Halo 7 release. Probably shouldn’t have said that.” It may appear that Amazon leaked information about a new ennealogy in the works for Mr. Chief. During our phone conversation, the listing was removed. TheKohlrabi did search out to see if any other online retailers made the same mistake, but the listing was limited to Amazon.
We discovered that Microsoft has recently registered the domains HaloCortanasEnd.com, HaloWASD.com, HaloFusion.com, HaloInfinity.com, HaloRapancy.com, HaloTitanFall.com and HaloAndTheMama.com. It is clear that these domains point to a future of the Halo series. There hasn’t been any indication which route Microsoft could take with these domains, but they present a very interesting twist to the Halo series. It should be noted that Microsoft did purchase domains for Halo 7, 8, and 9 back in September of 2012. The domains purchased by Microsoft was not the .com domains, but rather .net and .org.
Microsoft declined to comment explicitly on the Halo 7 revelation but had this to say regarding the Halo series. “Halo is a pillar of the Xbox entertainment experience. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody that the series would continue. However, wouldn’t you rather hear more about the amazing Xbox One shipment numbers?” TheKohlrabi graciously declined their offer.
