It’s no secret that Nintendo has been trying to diversify its business partners lately. Whether it’s giving away Hoopa at McDonald’s or making the Falco amiibo a Blockbuster exclusive, Nintendo has been pumping out exclusive after exclusive lately. Today, we finally have the crowning piece in Nintendo’s trinity, its Tri-Force, if you will, of Diverse Business Partners: Nintendo has revealed to The Kohlrabi in an exclusive interview that they will be releasing the Ryu, Roy, and Lucas amiibo exclusively in the one and only tomb of King Arthur!
“The Tomb of King Arthur is the perfect spot to sell amiibo,” Nintendo told The Kohlrabi, “Here at Nintendo, two of the things we love most are innovation and adventure. By setting our amiibo collectors out on a quest like this, not only are we delivering a unique, innovative experience, but we’re setting them on an adventure, not unlike The Legend of Zelda or Pokemon series. Besides, we’re sure we speak on behalf of the world when we say that we’d love to find where King Arthur was buried– or if he was ever truly alive. This adventure will provide fans with fun, adventure, amiibo, and hopefully the most groundbreaking historical find of the century!”
According to Nintendo, the three Amiibo will be up for preorder on a single, cold winter night when the planets are all in perfect alignment. Alignment, FYI, only lasts for two minutes. Nintendo said that you must sacrifice a large portion of your wallet and one of the following items, depending on which amiibo you want: An arcade stick signed by Justin Wong, a copy of Super Smash Brother’s Brawl soaked in the tears of a thousand Melee fans, or a copy of Mother 3 that should be sacrificed whilst reciting an ancient text. We wish we could let you know what this text is, but unfortunately, we’re unable to translate it. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Once the ritual is complete, an amiibo stand shall rise over King Arthur’s tomb for you to make your purchase. Happy Amiibo Hunting!
